I am having trouble remembering the dates and details but what I do remember is how I knew I was making history. I was this confident, I had been waiting for this moment for many years, in fact most of my life. It was 2000 or so, maybe before 9 11 or perhaps after, I cannot recall. I had been determined to do Sunni Arab journalism and it was going very well. The Central Intelligence Agency apparently came to the conclusion that I was the inspiration for the 9 11 surprise attacks on the World Trade Center. I had written several influential monographs on the Middle East.

I was going to build a web site. I had registered in 1999 the domain name worldaffairsmonthly.com. The CIA had wanted worldaffairsmonthly.com to be part of their efforts. It was naturally going to be a confidential and secret relationship. I had no real problem with that but the fundamental issue is independence. I have been influential since I was 25-30 years old – I was then told they intended for me to run the entire US government – but I never had any desire to work for the United States government. No interest whatsoever.

And why is that? Two reasons: 1) I do not like Jews and I disapprove of Israel and I think the United States government should/must have good relations with the Arabs and Persians – the Muslim world 2) even though I would have effectively been running the CIA when I was 30 years old I was not willing to do bureaucratic battle with the crazy/criminal Ashkenazi Jews who exercised large influence on almost all policy. So it was not going to happen. Yes there is an argument that there is a Central Intelligence Agency which rises above politics and international relations. Sure this is true to some extent but you will have to be willing to spend a lot of energy and time undertaking bureaucratic battle. This is just bullshit and a waste of time. Thus I declined and it was a smart move.

So I happened to meet a Pakistani national who was living and working in the United States, in the San Francisco Bay Area. His name is Asim Mughal, he was a computer scientist and went to California Institute of Technology in Southern California. He ran paknews.com which I do not think exists any longer. I think I remember he did contract work for NASA. Mughal had a firm named Pakcyber in Pakistan doing his web development. Mughal turned out to be something of a cheat but it did not matter because my intention was get in touch with Pakcyber in Pakistan.

Pakcyber was headed up by Mr Imtiaz Jafri. Jafri and I spoke and then I made plans to fly over to Pakistan which I did. This is about 1 year after 9 11. My first son Christophe was almost 3 years old so this was in November 2002. We took him along, and my wife was pregnant with our second son, who was born in March 2003. We were in Rawalpindi, Pakistan for about 1 month. Pakcyber had been in business for only several years. Imtiaz Jafri's father was in the Pakistan Army. I met Col. Riaz Jafri, he was retired by then. In fact, Col. Jafri took me over to meet the top brass of the Pakistani Armed Forces one evening. Everyone in Rawalpindi thought I was CIA – which was not true. Wonderful family, the Jafri family. Shia Muslim, not Sunni. My wife and I have been friends with the Jafri family ever since. Imtiaz and his wife came to visit us in June 2009. They stayed at our home in Bodega Bay and we took them around the San Francisco Bay Area. He and his wife had never been to the United States before.   

I instructed and guided the Pakcyber computer scientists and developers to build the web site. I asked them to build an audio and video capability which they did. Sometimes Mr Jafri and I would have serious debates about what we should do with the web site, its functionality and design. In the words of Mr Jafri: "We had up and down time while developing WAM [World Affairs Monthly]... as we we used to fight with each other about what was good about WAM... sometimes you liked our ideas but most of the time it was you who made us listen to you only."

This all went live on the internet in March 2002. I recall having audio and video by January 2003. I was the first news media business in the world to feature audio and video files. My friends at BBC were astonished. This is all thanks to my friend Mr Imtiaz Jafri and his team. The fee was not really super cheap but I was willing to pay because I knew I was making history.

So why did I go to Pakistan to get my information technology requirements? And here is where I am going to divulge the unpleasant truth. I knew that if I did not get outside the control of Jews then I would be to some degree under pressure. They – the Jews who run the United States government – would be able to mess with me, in fact destroy me. Hackers etc. Even worse. I intended to get outside the Jew Zone.

This proved to be a critically important decision. My friend Imtiaz Jafri has always been reliable, hard-working, diligent, and even at times brilliant. The Jew Zone extends to other South Asians, the state of India. I would want to stay far away from that. I have no problem with India but I do have a problem with their close relations to the state of Israel.

Around 10 years ago Pakcyber merged with Quaid Technologies. So Pakcyber no longer exists. Imtiaz Jafri is chief executive officer of Quaid Technologies. Quaid Technologies is on the net at quaidtech.com.

What has happened is that Mr Jafri has helped me move through the stages of development of the internet. It was not always easy indeed it was something of a challenge. The first ten years or so of the internet I will call the frontier days. Let's call it 2000-2010. It was the wild west, rudimentary technology but it worked, it was OK. Then came the build out days 2010-2020. Here we have pretty good software being created and shared with the masses of internet users. Still kind of dubious in some respects but pretty impressive. Mostly internet via the mobile phone whereas the frontier days were mostly personal computer. And now we are in the power days. It is real power, the supreme power on Earth. It was about 20 years ago, when I conceived of World Affairs Monthly, that I knew I would broaden my reach to include other web sites which would effectively be focused on one area of information/knowledge.

Yes this is in Pakistan but it is much more reliable and trustworthy than India. It is not that Muslim is more honest than Hindu. That is not the issue. Jafri is a Persian family and Persia is very impressive. Their fees are very affordable, in fact you might be able to spend something like 50% less than comparable Western firms. Good luck!
